Level 2 Moderate Enteral Sedation Initial Course

Course Overview 
Tailored for dental professionals seeking to obtain their initial Level 2 Moderate Enteral Sedation permit, this 24-hour continuing education course provides rigorous didactic training in sedation pharmacology, patient assessment, airway management, and emergency protocols. The curriculum is specifically designed to support the safe and effective administration of moderate enteral sedation for adult patients in accordance with Texas regulatory standards. 

TSBDE Compliance
In accordance with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) Rule 110.5, dentists pursuing an initial Level 2 permit must complete a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of didactic instruction and ten (10) clinical case experiences. 

Didactic Requirement: This course satisfies the full 24-hour didactic instruction requirement for the Level 2 Moderate Enteral Sedation permit.
Clinical Requirement: The required clinical case experiences—including at least three (3) live clinical cases and one (1) rescue from deep to moderate sedation—must be completed separately under the supervision of a qualified Level 2 permit holder as outlined in 22 Tex. Admin. Code §110.5.
