Level 2 Moderate Enteral Sedation Initial Course

Tailored for dental professionals seeking to obtain a Level 2 Moderate Enteral Sedation permit, this 24-hour continuing education course provides in-depth didactic training in sedation pharmacology, patient assessment, risk management, and emergency preparedness. The course emphasizes both adult and pediatric patient care and is designed to support safe and effective administration of moderate enteral sedation in accordance with Texas regulations.

In accordance with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE), dentists pursuing a Level 2 Moderate Enteral Sedation permit must complete a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of didactic instruction and ten (10) clinical case experiences as outlined in 22 Tex. Admin. Code §110. 

This course satisfies the required twenty-four (24) hours of didactic instruction for Level 2 Moderate Enteral Sedation. 

The required clinical case experiences (including at least three live clinical cases and one rescue from deep to moderate sedation) must be completed separately under the supervision of a qualified Level 2 permit holder in accordance with TSBDE rules.
